1. Start from the side of the nail and in one direction, file towards the center.
2. Move from finger to finger in the same direction.
3. Repeat on the opposite side, from side to center for consistency of shape.
4. Use the 100 grit, grainier surface for sanding of acrylic nails.
5. Use the 180 grit, smoother side for filing natural nails.
