SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR (SCM) 

 

Supply Chain Management involves the Planning, Coordination and Execution of the processes required for the timely flow of information and materials from our supply base through our Fulfillment department.  The Director of Supply Chain will take the lead role in overseeing, coordinating and planning of Supply Chain Operations, Project Management, Process Improvement, and Inventory levels. The Supply Chain Manager reviews existing procedures and examines opportunities with the Director of Operations to streamline production including purchasing, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting to meet a company’s needs.

 

1) Plan:  Balance demand and supply to meet sourcing, production and delivery requirements working with Sales, Marketing, Sales Forecasting and Sourcing, as well as balancing Service and Inventory levels.

2) Purchasing: Place and expedite purchase orders in accordance to demand planning

3) Production: Plan the local production (packaging) of products to meet actual and anticipated demand.

4) Delivery (Fulfillment): Broker between Fulfillment and Sales to schedule and/or change customer orders to ensure timely shipment of all orders.  

5) Manage Supply Chain and capacity with Tweezerman factory in India

6) Support new product launches and sell off activities

7) Problem solving and troubleshooting if needed

8) Strategic Sourcing. Support the company with a selected and reliable Supplier base, supporting Product innovation with new technology, products, etc.

9) Defining, maintaining and monitoring optimal inventory levels in accordance with Working Capital goals.

10) Coordination, feedback and integration of the frequent Sales Planning provided by Sales Analyst

11) Maintenance of Master Product Data including Bill of Materials as provided by Product Management.

12) Implementation, training, maintenance, and further development of Macola, Cockpit, agility and all other integrated software and processes.

13) And other tasks assigned by the Executive Team of the company

 

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) this person will oversee the Supply Chain Operations, manage the Projects, and coordinate Process Improvements to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost effectiveness of supply chain processes.

 

This person will require excellent communications and management skills to negotiate, interface and broker between the Marketing, Sales and Operations, Administrative and SCM departmental organizations and processes.  Also required is a full understanding of the interaction between existing processes, information requirements, and existing and emerging technologies.  Supply Chain Director needs to know distribution center operations, transportation, supplier operations, operations management, cost-benefit analysis, process improvement and logistics strategy. The Supply Chain Director must be able to not only develop solutions, but also drive their implementation across functional areas and through to vendor organizations and supply chain partners. Acquire an excellent product knowledge is mandatory.

 

The SCM Director will be supported by a team, which will report directly to him:

1) Inventory Planning – Purchase Planning

2) Production Planning – Demand and Resource Planning

3) Purchasing – Operational purchasing

4) Purchasing Expediter

5) Sourcing Director

 

The SCM Director will have indirect reports, as in a matrix organization, as required to carry out specific Project and Process Improvement Initiatives.

Required Education and Experience

1.         Masters' degree or equivalent; or 10 to 15 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATIONS AND ONLINE MEDIA MANAGER

Tweezerman International’s products have long been recognized in the beauty industry as premium brand surpassing the normal standards of quality, reliability and service. Based on Long Island, New York, Tweezerman is world market leader in the high-class segment of beauty and grooming implements for all needs including lashes, brows, manicure and pedicure. Since the end of 2004, the company is part of Zwilling J.A. Henckels Group. Tweezerman is currently doing business I roughly 40 countries holding a strong position in several.

Overall Purpose:

The primary responsibility for this position is to develop, manage, and execute strategic, and creative communications, including vehicles, content and visibility opportunities for Tweezerman. The ability to develop and implement a cutting edge, long term communications plan is essential for this position. Additionally, the position will work closely with our web development company to supervise the development, implementation and maintenance of the Tweezerman Global site, alessandro US and Urban Beauty United US web site on an ongoing basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic direction and execution of communication efforts.
  • Establishes long term plan for web project implementation and leads and develops the overall online marketing strategy for Tweezerman, alessandro US and Urban Beauty United US.
  • Creates and implements online plans that complement and/or extend offline marketing efforts
  • Actively maintains, updates and increases traffic to Tweezerman, alessandro US and Urban Beauty United US websites
  • Reviews and edits content submitted to ensure clarity and accuracy, consistency with branding standards (logos, formats, colors and new initiatives) and compliance 
  • Oversee Junior Social Media and E-Commerce Manager to develop social media strategy, main information on all websites including new product and updates, content related news, events and generate email campaigns to build traffic and loyalty. 
  • Manages administrative tools for different areas on the site such as content and video editing, integrating web links into email designs, managing database content such as store locator, event calendar etc.
  • Manages and executes all search engine marketing strategies
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to  maximize results
  • Works with members of the marketing team to ensure the brand is well represented in an online and offline environment
  • Acts as a liaison for the creative content team, the technical team and management team
  • Provides regular status reports to Director of Marketing and performs other related duties as directed
  • Works with outside agencies to develop training materials and videos, and overall communications campaigns

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of communications and online media experience (preferably in cosmetics/beauty industries)
  • Excellent project management, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social medial platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc.) and how they can be deployed effectively to maximize results
  • Proven track record of successful campaigns that have increased web traffic
  • Have a good knowledge of principles of SEO
  • Very strong critical thinking skills; ability to create a plan and clear action steps
  • Prior web experience in Consumer Products a plus
  • Experience managing a new web program from development through implementation
  • Writing/editing experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to carefully edit and monitor text for correct grammar and punctuation
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-driven environment               
  • Uncompromising attention to detail

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications  or related field
  • Master’s degree desirable
