POSITION DESCRIPTION

Communications and Online Media Manager

Based in New York, Tweezerman is world market leader in the high-class segment of beauty and grooming implements for all needs including lashes, brows, manicure and pedicure. Since end of 2004, the company is part of Zwilling J.A. Henckels Group. Tweezerman is currently doing business in roughly 40 countries holding a strong position in several.

Overall Purpose:

The essential purpose of this position is to support the Tweezerman brand through leading aggressive communications and online marketing initiatives including viral marketing, search, social marketing, email marketing (retention & acquisition) or other emerging media specialties. The ability to develop and implement a cutting edge, long term communications plan is essential for this position. Additionally, the position will work closely with our web development company to supervise the development, implementation and maintenance of the Tweezerman and alessandro US web site on an ongoing basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic direction and execution of communication efforts.
  • Establishes long term plan for web project implementation and leads and develops the overall online marketing strategy for Tweezerman and alessandro US.
  • Creates and implements online plans that complement and/or extend offline marketing efforts
  • Actively maintains, updates and increases traffic to Tweezerman and alessandro US websites
  • Creates postings to site with the following information: new product and updates, content related news, events, recruitment, calendars etc.
  • Reviews and edits content submitted to ensure clarity and accuracy, consistency with branding standards (logos, formats, colors and new initiatives) and compliance 
  • Creates all email campaigns and all other marketing content to build traffic and loyalty
  • Manages administrative tools for different areas on the site such as content and video editing, integrating web links into email designs, managing database content such as store locator, event calendar etc.
  • Manages and executes all search engine marketing strategies
  • Tracks and analyzes all search results to ensure profitability and drive strategy
  • Works with members of the marketing team to ensure the brand is well represented in an online environment
  • Acts as a liaison for the creative content team, the technical team and management team
  • Oversee Social Media Coordinator to develop social media strategy, review results and analyze as well as research new platforms to determine if they are a good fit with Tweezeman
  • Provides regular status reports to Director of Marketing and performs other related duties as directed
  • Works with outside agencies to develop training videos, and overall communications campaigns

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of online media or communications experience preferably in cosmetics/beauty
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Power user of social media
  • Very strong critical thinking skills; ability to create a plan and clear action steps
  • New web program development and implementation experience preferred
  • Writing/editing experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to carefully edit and monitor text for correct grammar and punctuation
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-driven environment       
  • Uncompromising attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications  or related field
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Prior web experience in Consumer Products a plus

Director of Consumer Sales - Retail and Online

 

As Director of Consumer Sales, you will report to the VP Sales – Retail and Online. In this role, you will use your strategic sales skills, marketing knowledge and technical aptitude to generate revenue and achieve revenue and profit goals. This is a high level position responsible for a significant segment of business with  top client teams within the organization. This position requires senior client account management with a directive to protect and grow existing business by proactively providing service to the client and maintaining and improving employee effectiveness and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct client strategic teams in multiple requested consumer market segments 
  • Forecast monthly customer needs to individual style levels
  • Client relations and satisfaction, account management, employee effectiveness and productivity, and administration of  client programs, policies, procedures, and practices
  • Create, plan and execute growth and management initiatives including, but not limited to, organizational needs, leadership, personnel development and motivation strategies
  • Facilitate activities with related department heads, provide leadership to subordinate employees, and ensure client advocacy at all levels of operation
  • Serve on advisory boards and committees, participate in decision making, and ensure follow through
  • Direct, train, coach and appraise personnel 
  • Attend and participate in meetings as requested
  • Responsible to assist Client Services in the planning, development, and implementation of appropriate channel marketing operations
  • Develop strategic and tactical goals and objectives, review revenues and costs, and coordinate operations throughout assigned accounts
  • Other job related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales or closely related business field or an equivalent combination of professional level directly related experience and directly related education. 
  • 10 or more years professional level sales and/or management experience required – Beauty would be a plus.
  • Sales experience must include 5 years or more of previous account management experience, merchandising, buying or operations. Experience with a national or key independent retailer,   mass drug chain a plus
  • Knowledge of channel marketing strategies, channels of distribution, and promotion strategies
  • Excellent, proven leadership abilities
  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Solid analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to use all related hardware and software applications
