Director of Sales, Professional

Reports to EVP Global Sales

The Director of Sales, Professional is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for Tweezerman beauty sales. Business to be managed includes:

  • Full Service Dealers
  • OTC
  • Distributors
  • Asian and Ethnic Trade
  • Schools
  • Sally Beauty Supply

The key responsibilities of this position include;

  • Directing national force of independent reps
  • Maximize business with current customer base
  • Establish new business
  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers
  • Be very aware of competition and advise internal team of findings
  • Implement customer and rep education programs
  • Developing a close working relationship with Sally Beauty Supply while growing TM business
  • Manage and attend (as necessary) dealer shows plus trade events

Key Accountabilities of this position include;

  • Achievement of sales and profit objectives
  • Develop Key Account Plans for top customers as part of on-going Sales Force Excellence
  • Staying within budget guidelines for

Requirements;

  • Five to seven years of sales/sales management experience in the professional beauty business with key account responsibilities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive – willingness to get the job done no matter the challenge
  • Great communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Outlook programs – especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Organized and systematic thinker
  • Capability to work well individually, as well as in team environment

Junior Product Manager

The essential purpose of this position is to contribute in the development of our entire line of Tweezerman products. The position will have multiple responsibilities including planning and organizing product launches from conceptual stages through the product life cycle for the purpose of maximizing revenue and profitability. The position will work closely with marketing, creative, sales and operations to execute comprehensive and integrated product development plans and launches.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market, technology and competitive product assessments
  • Research and identify what additional products or product enhancements are needed
  • Work with the Director of Marketing in the development of product launches
  • Assist in establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins
  • Work with cross-functional teams through all phases of the product development process
  • Coordinate product forecasts to establish appropriate inventory levels with Supply Chain Management
  • Supports appropriate key customer visits and executes key marketing deliverables such as product criteria, product code request forms, packaging forms etc.
  • Ensures that products are proactively analyzed (POS, Shipments) to actively ensure they will meet their objectives
  • Maintains and documents the standard product development processes for the company
  • Achieves program deliverables on schedule and within budget
  • Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and initiates plan for alternative actions

 

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of product management experience preferably in cosmetics/beauty.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-driven environment       
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Uncompromising attention to detail
  • Ability to work under unusual or extreme pressures

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree required with any combination of specific product management experience and education
  • Must have prior product management experience in Consumer Products preferably in the Cosmetic/Beauty industry

Brand Manager - Nail Care

The Beauty business unit of Zwilling J.A. Henckels, the mother company of Tweezerman International, has acquired a majority share of a leading European nail care brand based in Germany. The acquisition is still subject to approval of the anti-trust authorities.

The brand is widely recognized as a premium European brand in the hand nail and foot beauty sector, and a full service provider featuring a wide range for nail technicians, beauty salons and selective retailers. The product range covers an extensive range of UV-based technologies including a color franchise with a wide range of matching nail polishes, semi permanent and permanent UV gels as well as a comprehensive hand, nail and foot SPA treatment systems. The brand is recognized for constantly driving innovation in the high-growth nail category both through superior product quality and through its quarterly news and trends program promoting creative seasonal items, on-trend “color one shots” and other product innovations

 

Tweezerman is about to launch this premium leading European nail care brand in the United States. The Brand Manager Nail Care will be responsible for the development and implementation of all Marketing aspects for the new brand and be the link to the brand’s headquarter in Germany. Together with the responsible Sales Managers, the Brand Manager is responsible for achieving the brand’s sales goals.

 

 

The position will report to the Director of Marketing.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Any local adaptation of products, packaging, selling and marketing material provided by the brand’s global headquarter; planning and implementation of any possible local developments for the US market in close cooperation with the Marketing department of the brand’s headquarter
  • All local regulatory and product registration tasks for the brand
  • Develop and implement new product launches and promotions for the US market; measure success of launches and draw conclusion for future assortments and promotions
  • Develop and implement PR plan to support the brand and product launch
  • Develop and implement training program in conjunction with the responsible sales managers
  • Develop and run the brand’s website and social media strategy
  • Seek out and realize synergies with the Company’s current product and promotion offers as well as POS vehicles in cooperation with the Company’s Product Manager, Marketing Director and Sales Managers
  • Support important Sales Calls with key accounts as the brand and product expert
  • Make sure that all necessary collateral, demonstration materials, etc. are available in market at all times. Needs to develop market specific collateral as necessary, with approval from the brands headquarter. 

 

The candidate should be entrepreneurial and passionate about beauty brands and products. He/she needs to be a self-motivated go-getter, combining hands-on implementation with good analytic skills for business planning, pricing structures, POS analyses, etc. The candidate has to be excited about starting up something completely new in the US market. He/she needs to be very organized and a strong project manager and fast learner. He/she needs to be able and willing to travel internationally to the brand’s headquarter in Germany and other “best practice markets”, on average 1 week per quarter after the initial training period.

 

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years experience in brand management in the beauty industry.

The Brand Manager Nail Care will be responsible for the development and implementation of all Marketing aspects for the new brand and be the link to the brand’s headquarter in Germany. Together with the responsible Sales Managers, the Brand Manager is responsible for achieving the brand’s sales goals.

This position will also be responsible for the brand/product management of the Tweezerman Professional brand.

The position will report to the Director of Marketing.
